Al-Burhan: We are proceeding with facilitating humanitarian action and protecting convoys
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, said that the government of Sudan is determined to continue its policy of facilitating humanitarian action and protecting convoys and humanitarian and medical teams, stressing Sudan's full commitment to international humanitarian law and procedures for protecting civilians, whom we are responsible for protecting.
Al-Burhan pointed out, in his speech before the activities of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, that women and children in areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)bMilitia are exposed to all kinds of violations, noting that sometimes it has reached the point of selling them in the markets.
Al-Burhan said that the humanitarian crisis that a large part of our people are currently experiencing due to the aggression of Dagalo's militia requires the concerted efforts of the international community and organizations and fulfilling the declared international obligations in providing the required and necessary aid to millions of fugitives, displaced persons and refugees. He added, "For our part, we have done and will do everything possible to deliver aid to those in need," extending his thanks to all the neighboring countries that received the fugitives and refugees and the countries and organizations that provided assistance to the Sudanese people, mentioning the brothers in Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, Eritrea, Kuwait and South Sudan, and he specifically thanked the King Salman Center, UNICEF and the World Food Program from the organizations.
