Prime Minister Attends Al-Hilal–Al-Merrikh Derby at Khartoum International Stadium

Prime Minister Kamil Idris on Wednesday evening attended the Sudanese football derby between Al-Hilal and Al-Merrikh, the country's two most prominent football clubs, at Khartoum International Stadium.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by a number of ministers, the Wali of Khartoum State, as well as sports leaders and senior state officials.
The participation of the country’s leadership in the major sporting event reflects the government’s commitment to supporting sports and youth activities and underscores the role of sports in promoting social cohesion and strengthening national unity.
Before kick-off, the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation greeted the spectators and exchanged greetings with the players of both teams and the match officials.
The Prime Minister’s presence at the match was warmly welcomed by supporters of both Al-Hilal and Al-Merrikh.
