Sudan Participates in German-Arab Business Forum
A Sudanese delegation led by Sudan's Ambassador to Germany, Ambassador Ilham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, and comprising representatives of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation, businessmen and Sudanese companies, participated in the 29th German-Arab Business Forum, held in Berlin from June 17 to 19.
The delegation, which also included Deputy Head of Mission Ambassador Idris Mohamed Ali, took part in the forum's sessions and economic meetings. The participation aimed to strengthen economic relations with German and Arab partners and showcase investment opportunities available in Sudan, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, energy, mining and infrastructure.
The Sudanese Mission in Berlin, in cooperation with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, also organised a roundtable entitled, "Sudan: Partnership for Recovery, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation." During the event, representatives of Sudan's private sector highlighted the country's economic potential and available investment opportunities, drawing interest from German and Arab companies and economic institutions.
The participation forms part of the Sudanese Mission's efforts in Berlin to enhance Sudan's economic presence and expand prospects for cooperation and investment with international partners, ahead of an anticipated visit by a delegation of German businessmen and parliamentarians to Sudan during the second half of this year.
