TSC Vice-President Meets WFP Representative in Sudan to Boost Humanitarian Cooperation

Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Malik Agar, met at his office on Saturday with the newly appointed World Food Programme (WFP) Representative in Sudan, Mr. Abdullah Al-Wardat. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the WFP and the Government of Sudan in support of humanitarian efforts and the improvement of living conditions, particularly in light of current challenges. Both sides underscored the importance of expanding the scope of humanitarian interventions and enhancing coordination with national authorities to ensure more efficient and effective delivery of assistance to the most vulnerable groups.
The TSC Vice-President reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the WFP and supporting all efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of citizens and advancing stability. For his part, Mr. Al-Wardat reiterated the WFP’s commitment to continuing its support for Sudan and to working closely with government entities and partners to achieve food security and promote sustainable livelihoods.
