Egypt: Khartoum Airport Strike Violates Sudan’s Sovereignty, Risks Wider Conflict

The Arab Republic of Egypt said the drone strike on Khartoum International Airport constitutes a blatant violation of Sudan’s sovereignty, a threat to civilian infrastructure, and a dangerous escalation that complicates the security and humanitarian situation. It expressed concern that the attacks reportedly launched from the territory of a neighboring state signal a risk of the conflict widening and its repercussions spreading regionally, undermining efforts to secure a humanitarian truce and ceasefire.
Egypt reaffirmed its rejection of all forms of external interference and the need to respect Sudan’s unity and sovereignty, renewing its support for efforts aimed at containing the crisis and restoring stability.
