TSC Vice President Meets UN Secretary-General’s Representative in Sudan

Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Malik Agar, met on Friday evening with Pekka Haavisto, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Representative in Sudan. TSC Vice President Agar expressed the Government’s appreciation for the United Nations’ engagement on Sudanese issues and its continued support during this critical phase. He provided a comprehensive briefing on the current situation in the country, outlining the Government’s ongoing efforts and strategy to advance peace and stability in line with the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security and development.
The TSC Vice President affirmed the Government’s full readiness to cooperate with United Nations institutions and to further develop joint work across humanitarian and development sectors, in support of the peace process and the achievement of sustainable stability in Sudan.
